Can we keep some territories or formats with our existing partners?
Yes. We do not aim to compete with territories or formats where you already have established partners. Our focus is on markets with clear potential that are currently under-served for your titles.
How do you handle printing, warehousing, and returns?
We primarily print through a printing partner in Lithuania, which handles most of our offset print runs. We generally avoid print-on-demand, as it can impact print quality, but we can use POD where appropriate and by agreement. Books are distributed either from Lithuania or the UK, depending on market and logistics. Returns are handled by us and our distribution partners.
Do you distribute to both online retailers and physical bookstores?
Yes. We distribute to both online retailers and physical bookstores. We handle the full operational setup, including ISBN registration, logistics, warehousing, and retailer onboarding, so publishers don’t need to manage these processes themselves.
Do you require any upfront payment?
No. We do not require any upfront payment from our publishing partners. Frekk covers the costs of translation, printing, marketing, and distribution. Our model is built on shared success, where we invest in the book and earn alongside the publisher based on sales.
How long does it take from signing to first sales?
This depends on the scope of work required, including format adjustments and market preparation. In most cases, we estimate approximately 6–8 weeks from signing to first availability and sales.
In which countries will our books be available?
Our books are currently available in over 100 countries. At the moment, our primary focus is on the UK, Germany, and Nordic markets. We launch titles first in the territories where we believe each book has the strongest commercial potential, based on genre, audience, and market fit.
